God has allowed Marcia to live many wonderful places: raised in Northern Virginia; met and married her husband, Allen, in Seattle; three daughters born while on the Navajo reservation in Shiprock, New Mexico, from 1986-95; followed by 12 years in Nashville; then to Zambia for 5 years. She has lived in Atlanta since 2013, and joined Community Bible Study in 2016 (Allen is active in BSF).
“I’ve known Jesus as my Savior since I was a child, but only began to follow Him as my Lord well into my adulthood. Jesus continues to shape and grow me in new ways, largely through the study of His Word.” Marcia loves being a children’s leader for a Junior Community Bible Study class, and learns a lot from those 10-11 year olds!
When the Nallys presented about Community Bible Study: Burundi in 2017, the Spirit was stirring her heart and Marcia was sitting on the edge of her chair. Ready to go, she joined them as a Representative on two trips and was able to help encourage and teach a little. She is eagerly looking forward to returning soon, with a passion for supporting children’s ministry. In the meantime, the students in the Primary and Junior classes have each committed to pray for a student in a Burundian class; and now other children’s CountryLink classes are joining in to become prayer partners!
